Russell Crowe reteams with his favorite director in American Gangster

Say what you will about Russell Crowe’s reputation for being difficult on a personal level, but there’s no questioning the tough-talking actor’s track record. Between 1997 and 2003, the New Zealand native starred in five films that were nominated for a Best Picture Oscar (with Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind ultimately winning), while Crowe garnered three Best Actor nominations and one win.
