Now, moving from one legendary director (Steven Spielberg) to another (Martin Scorsese), and from playing one real-life person (conman Frank Abagnale Jr.) to another (Howard Hughes), the 30-year-old actor finally comes of age in The Aviator, shedding his boyish charm to portray the maverick innovator whose devastating obsessive-compulsiveness led him to become the world’s most notorious recluse.

As one of the early breakout stars on Saturday Night Live back in the 1970s, Bill Murray scaled box office heights in the 1980s with hits such as Caddyshack, Stripes and Ghostbusters.
